Types of holes and cutouts

At Tayda Electronics, we offer highly customizable drilling services to ensure your pedal box meets your exact needs. We provide CNC precision drilling for accurate cuts, ensuring a perfect fit for your components. Our services include custom hole placements for a variety of components, such as:

  • Input/output jack holes

Please provide your template to guarantee precise alignment and hole placements for your project. If your enclosure is powder coated, add 0.2 mm to your hole diameters to account for the coating thickness, as we drill first and then powder coat the enclosures. For example, for a 9 mm hole, specify 9.2 mm.

Available powder coating finishes

We offer a variety of powder coating finishes for your pedal box for both aesthetic qualities and durability. Here are the available options:

UV printing on the enclosure

Our UV printing service allows you to add logos, text labels, and full graphic designs to your pedal box enclosure with high durability. We accept only AI/EPS and PDF file formats for printing, so be sure to submit your design in one of these formats.

Make sure that your design is fully vectorized and set up in CMYK mode for the best color match. We recommend using Adobe Illustrator to create your design for optimal results.

Our full-color printing provides excellent durability, with the print being:

  • Scratch-resistant
  • Fade-resistant

Additional Services

How do I make sure my design is suitable for UV printing?

Use vector artwork (not just an image saved as a PDF), convert all fonts to outlines, and set colors to CMYK mode for accurate printing. Double-check your file dimensions, alignment, and details before submitting, and keep an eye on your Tayda Box Tool dashboard for any updates or issues.

What hole types can you drill?

We can drill holes for input/output jacks, power supplies, ventilation, footswitches, LED indicators, potentiometers/knobs, and MIDI/USB connectors. Just provide a template, and we’ll take care of the rest!

How many years does powder coating last?

Powder coating can last 10 to 20 years, depending on the environment and the type of surface it's applied to. In harsh conditions, like exposure to UV rays, salt water, or heavy abrasion, it may begin to show wear sooner.

How should I measure the hole positions for drilling?

Measurements should be taken in millimeters from the centers of the sides of the enclosure (without the lid/cover). The minimum hole diameter is 3 mm.
